The VS 3000 shown adjacent is equipped with a fabric sock for the capture of coarse nuisance dust particles; the sock is easily removed for emptying and replacement. Flexible ducting is available to hire in 8 metre lengths, nominal 300mm (12") diameter.
The fan unit operates from a 110v 32amp supply, and wheels make it easy to relocate around site.
As an alternative to the coarse filtration (shown here) the unit can be supplied with an higher grade (intermediate grade) bag filter for capturing finer dusts. The bag filter is held within a steel filter housing on the inlet side of the fan unit; the filter housing can be separated from the fan unit (linked using flexible ducting) allowing the filter to be located adjacent to the dust generating work while the fan is kept remote.

Some jobs simultaneously generate more than one type of dust hazard, and a mixture of coarse and fine dust may be produced. In such circumstances achieving a satisfactory solution may require the use of multi-stage filtration - progressively filtering to finer levels.
Certain applications may even require the use of negative pressure filtration equipment in conjunction with polythene enclosures, to minimize the outbreak of airborne dust (see adjacent picture).

For many applications it is desirable to duct the air to or from the air-movement equipment. For simple air-movement and non-hazardous dust applications we can provide flexible ducting to hire. The ducting has a wire helix to keep it open in use, and a "cuff" at either end which is simply coupled to another length of ducting or equipment using a coupling band. Standard ducting length is 8 metres. Subject to prior request the ducting can be supplied with metal pigtail hooks along its length if you wish to suspend it above the ground.
